I’ve started a Kickstarter with hopes of embarking on photographic documentary to help preserve the last great wild salmon fishery in the world and the threatened culture of Bristol Bay, due to the proposed plans of North Americas largest open pit mine. A mine that if built stands to pollute the surrounding are and its inhabitants, thus destroying a thriving community.

Today, Bernal Heights, 2013
I saw a large cloud of smoke out of my kitchen window, so I skated over to see what was going on. People were in a frenzy, it seemed like a house was on fire due to the density of the smoke. Turns out a field caught fire and burned pretty intensely for a while. Once SFFD showed up, they got it under control. Here’s a couple images from the event.

This man approached me last week randomly and we ended up deep in conversation about knowledge, growth and listening to and working with others and the importance of it. I really enjoyed hearing his perspectives. He was probably one of the more interesting people I’ve met while living here.
